You’re curious about the value of your home because you’re possibly thinking of selling your home. You just might have an obsessive personality, and need to know any change in your home’s value. No problem. Most people go to one of the major real estate sites and punch in their address. This is a great way to get a general idea on the value. The valuation models these sites use are based on averages, and may not be using the most up-to-date information. If a general idea of the value of your home is okay, then stick with these sites.
To really drill down and get a more timely, and accurate valuation you should contact a real estate professional (like MPR). Real estate agents have access to up-to-date market data from the appropriate MLS. In addition to looking at the “comps”, agents also know the nuisances of specific markets that affect the home values and the speed of sales. It is also our job to have an understanding of the pulse of the market. Are condo’s in your area going really fast, or is it single family homes selling like hot cakes now.
We would love an opportunity to assist you on determining an accurate value for your home. Again, we are all about the numbers…because the numbers never lie. We will never give you an inflated value in an attempt to get you to sell. That’s not how we work.
